Intimate Sydney wedding at Coast Chapel Little Bay and Bangarra Dance Theatre. Joy & Mason’s musician-led day featured relaxed portraits, live performance, board games, and a bubble exit.

Joy and Mason’s wedding was intimate, thoughtful, and quietly unforgettable; shaped by who they are rather than what tradition says it should be. Married at Coast Chapel in Little Bay, they then shared a short, private tea ceremony inside the church with immediate family before heading into the city.

Portraits were kept simple and relaxed around Bangarra and the pockets of green along Pottinger Street with their small bridal party. The reception unfolded slowly and intentionally, with guests gathered around tables of board games; Wordle, Codenames, and cards creating a warm, playful atmosphere.

Both classically trained musicians, Joy and Mason replaced a first dance with a live performance of “While You Were Sleeping” by Laufey. The night closed with instant noodles, bubbles drifting through the air and the Harbour Bridge glowing behind them; a perfect ending to a day that felt unmistakably them.
